Full Moon September - Corn/Harvest

The full moon in September, known as the Corn or Harvest Moon, is on 7th September. This special moon marks the season when farmers gather their crops, signaling the end of summer and the beginning of autumn. The Harvest Moon is the full moon that occurs closest to the autumnal equinox, typically around September 21. This year it is also a a lunar eclipse, also known as a 'Blood Moon', and should be partly visible from the UK. A lunar eclipse is when the Earth is between the Sun and the Moon, meaning the Moon is in the Earth's shadow.

When it is a total eclipse the Moon can take on a red/orange colour which is why it is sometimes called a Blood Moon.

This Harvest Moon offers a chance for reflection and connection. As we move into autumn, start thinking of what you'd like to let go of. Nature reminds us how beautiful it is to let go as the leaves will soon start to change colour and fall. Try working with black crystals which are negativity banishers and do not hold on to negative energy. Hematite and obsidian are great crystals to work with.
